NAKED’s Zinc Carnosine has been great in keeping my immune system in check. This has helped me tremendously in prepping for the colder weather, where colds are more common. Surprisingly, I’ve had more energy during the day after taking this supplement. I’ve found that adding this to my daily intake has been beneficial.

Solid addition to my supplement regimen
I still don’t know a lot about the different forms of zinc. There are a bunch of them. Zinc carnosine doesn’t seem to be as prevalent as others, but again, I don’t know a lot about them. What I do know is that I am always trying to make sure I get enough supplemental zinc while not getting too much. What I love about this supplement is that it’s 17 mg. and it says that in large print on the label on the front of the bottle (see image). Simple. Direct. I know exactly what I’m getting at a glance. This is much appreciated for someone like me with low close vision. And at 17 mg., I feel like I’m getting enough zinc and then if I factor in zinc from other supplemental sources, I feel like I am not getting too much. I take one of these capsules every night before bed. If I feel I need it, I might take one in the morning with breakfast and then another at night. The bottle says take 1 capsule twice a day, but I feel like 1 is enough. That also makes this a two month supply for a very reasonable price. I am a big fan of Naked supplements in general, and their single-ingredient products are really good, in my opinion.

Two useful nutrients for health
Naked has a good reputation so I was happy to see a kind of vitamin combo I didn’t know about. I knew about zinc and I knew about carnosine but I didn’t know there was a combo option. It is said that the addition of the carnosine helps the zinc be more gentle on the stomach. Zinc is known to be a vitamin that is best taken with food or risk feeling a bit oogy later. However I have no such issues with carnosine. Unfortunately for me personally, these still acted too much like plain zinc when it comes to my stomach and I still have to take them with food but others might have more luck, these issues are highly individual.Still, both of these nutrients are very useful to many so the combo pill is convenient. Everything was standard on the packaging, foil seal, screw off cap, etc. The capsules are just over 3/4 inch long so they are little bit on the longer side. These are useful vitamins but also be careful to ingest enough copper to keep it in balance if you are supplementing with zinc, otherwise you might not benefit as much. It is said that zinc should be in balance with copper. Overall I’d buy these again since they are both vitamins I usually take anyway.
