Vegetarian sourced, but capsules are kind of big.
We picked them because they are vegan and plant sourced rather than from fish, and that is a little bit hard to find in a market dominated by fish oils. Main drawback is that the capsules are kind of large and will stick in your throat if you don’t take them with enough liquid. A normal adult dose is two capsules and you really need a full glass of water to get them down comfortably. The lemon flavor mentioned in the description is the flavor added to the oil inside the capsules, not the outside capsule flavor itself. I bit the capsules to see if that would help with swallowing and it did a little bit. Very mild lemon flavor. When my wife tried biting the capsule first she complained that she kept tasting seaweed all day after, so be aware you may get algae burps if you open the capsules before eating!
