I had been using another brand of collagen that was much more expensive. I liked that this one is sourced from fish, as I don’t eat red meat, which is the source of another top brand of collagen supplement. If this is an issue for you, look for the word “marine” in the product name. The Youtheory label will also have an image of a colorful fish on it, as opposed to a tree. The pills are huge. You may want to consider using a pill splitter. Usually I take two in the mornings. The recommended dosage is more, but most of the time I forget. In spite of this, I have noticed that my skin looks lustrous, especially upon awakening. It is smooth and almost glowing. I wear less makeup and sometimes forget to use under eye concealer, because I don’t notice that I need to much of the time. I am 57 years old and take good care of my skin anyway, but can attest that my face looks younger and more vibrant than when I began taking collagen less than a year ago. This brand is at least as good or better than the Standard Process, which is what I started with. A side benefit, only because I didn’t notice it originally, is that I no longer experience occasional aches and pains in a knee or elbow; I freely admit to taking these for vanity, but appreciate that it is helping my joints. Notice the plethora of information that is included in the on-line description of the product – this is good to know, especially if you are not up to speed on what collagen is or does. Many people seem to notice improvement in fingernails and hair while taking collagen. I have to say that I don’t really notice any difference in hair, but it could actually be working. My nails have always been a problem with either breaking, splitting, peeling, or just being too thin. Presently, my nail beds appear healthier than before, but I cannot say that the collagen assists in their growth. However, who cares when it makes your skin look so fabulous? It’s a small price to pay for something that makes looking in the mirror a pleasure.

Solid Supplement for Maintenance – 3.5 Month Update
I’ve been taking these collagen tablets for about 5-6 days now, so it’s too early to comment on long-term benefits for skin or joints. I plan to update this review in a month with results. The tablets are easy to swallow, and I haven’t experienced any digestive issues so far.One minor inconvenience: the tablets leave a fine white powder residue on hands and surfaces. It’s not a big deal, but I need to rinse my hands or wipe the table after taking them. Hopefully, the manufacturer can improve the coating in the future.Despite this, I appreciate the thoughtful formulation with added vitamins and marine-sourced collagen. The price is reasonable for a month’s supply, and the packaging is secure. Looking forward to seeing how it works over time!UPDATE after 3.5 months:I’ve been taking these collagen tablets daily for about three months now (one full course), so I can share more long-term impressions.Overall, I didn’t notice any dramatic changes in my hair growth or nail strength, which I was partly hoping for. However, it’s important to note that during this period, I was under significant physical and emotional stress, which typically takes a toll on my skin and hair. Despite that, my skin and hair condition did not worsen, which I consider a positive result. It feels like the supplement helped maintain the status quo during a challenging time.The minor drawback I mentioned earlier about the white powder residue from the tablets still stands. It’s a small inconvenience but manageable.The formula is easy on the stomach, and taking five tablets a day became routine. Given the reasonable price and the ‘maintenance’ effect I observed, I’m considering doing another course in the future to give it a full, fair chance. This seems like a good foundational supplement for overall support rather than a quick fix for specific issues.

To consume 7500mg of marine collagen you’d need to take 3 tablets daily. However, since the bioavailability of solids is at the lower end, you’d actually have to take additional tablets to effectively absorb 7500mg into your blood stream. If you don’t mind taking a number of large pills daily, this is a great product. No need to measure or mix and it’s easy to take on the go as well. I don’t like taking large pills daily, so I will stick with the liquid option.
